I am influenced by nature, texture, pattern, form and aging. In some works I draw heavily on geometry and influences of time in nature. Seeking to find the process behind how growth and decay are combined in balance. Typically studying man-made objects that interrupt the landscape and are eventually abandoned leaving nature to begin the slow process of returning the materials to the earth.

In other works I am inspired by the procession through a landscape, a patterned field of grasses or a fractalized canopy in the forest. How motion and perspective shifts change the entire experience of a scene.
